PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a hollow resin base material by which it is possible to freely form a diaphragm for the hollow resin base material and freely adjust its strength in the extrusion and the width direction. SOLUTION: A thermoplastic hollow resin molding 16 formed by an extrusion molding machine 12 is heated at temperatures above a softening point. A top layer 18 is stretched by pressing it with a fixture 28 so that the tip is fused to a bottom layer 20. A dent part 30 is formed in the top layer 18. Next, the thermoplastic hollow resin molding 16 is heated using a heating lamp 36. In addition, the molding 16 is loaded into a vacuum molding die 38 to form a diaphragm 40 by fusing the dent part 30 by suction, and at the same time, the molding 16 is formed into a desired shape. If the molding so formed is taken out of the vacuum molding die 38, the thermoplastic hollow resin base material 10 is ready for use. |
