PRODUCTION OF POLYSILOXANE HOLE TRANSPORT MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a polysiloxane hole transport material by uniformly dissolving a specified hole transport material which can impart a function of transporting positive holes in a polysiloxane resin in an amount to give a practical concentration. SOLUTION: A silicon-containing hole transport material represented by the formula: A-[R<1> SiR<2> n-3 Qn ]p (wherein A is an organic group derived from a hole transport material being an aromatic substituted tert-amine having a plurality of aromatic groups and having an ionization potential of 4.5-6.2eV; R<1> is a 1-18C alkylene; R<2> is a 1-15C monovalent hydrocarbon group, a halogen- substituted monovalent hydrocarbon group; Q is a hydrolyzable group; (n) is 1-3; and (p) is 1-3) and a curable polysiloxane resin having a ratio of the silicon atoms to the Si-bonded monovalent hydrocarbon groups of 0.5-1.5 are dissolved in a substantially water-free organic solvent, mixed and cured. The amount of the silicon-containing hole transfer material added is desirably 20-200 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. polysiloxane resin.
