PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a feed for fish and shell which contains lower amino acids and higher amino acids at a specific ratio in the matrix material comprising the fermentation product of draining or refuse that remains after plants are strained and improves the food intake efficiency of fish and shell by stimulating the olfaction of fish and shell with the amino acids eluted in water. SOLUTION: The draining or refuse that remains after plants are strained (suitably free from alkaloids other than methylated purine derivative and toxic glycosides) is used to eftect fermentation of a microorganism. To the matrix material containing the fermentation product or its crushed product, are added (A) amino acids of 2-3 carbon atoms such as glycine or α-alanine and (B) amino acids of 4 or more carbon atoms such as leucine, ornithine at a molar ratio A/B of 1-0. The microorganism for fermenting the strained lees is preferably lactic acid bacteria or Saccharomyces yeasts. When a glue is combined with amino acids (A) and (B), they readily adhere to the matrix material desirably. In this case, the components A and B are added to the matrix material in the form of an aqueous solution and the glue is preferably a natural glue. |
