PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a grease composition with sodium content at a specified level or lower, excellent in frictional and abrasion characteristics, and suitable in automotive universal joints, etc., by incorporating a base grease with a specific sulfurized oxymolybdenum dithiocarbamate, etc. SOLUTION: This grease composition <=200ppm in sodium content is obtained by incorporating a base grease with (A) pref. 0.01-10wt.% (based on the base grease) of a sulfurized oxymolybdenum dithiocarbamate of formula I (R<1> to R<4> are each a hydrocarbon; X<1> is O or S) and/or a sulfurized oxymolybdenum dithiophosphate of formula II (R<5> to R<8> are each a hydrocarbon; X<2> is O or S) and, pref. (B) pref. 0.01-10wt.% of a zinc dithiophosphate of formula III (R<9> and R<10> are each a hydrocarbon; (a) is O or 1/3) and/or a zinc dithiocarbamate of formula IV (R<11> and R<12> are each a hydrocarbon). |
