<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plunger pump in which a plunger is axially reciprocated so as to press-feed fluid and which can prevent seizure of the plunger at the top dead center while restraining a load to the plunger pump. SOLUTION: An eccentric cam 48 is located at one end of a plunger 38 liquid-tightly and slidably inserted in a pump chamber 28. An opening end of the pump chamber 28 is blocked by a shut-off valve 52. A first spring 54 for always generating an urging force, irrespective of a position of the plunger 38, and a second spring 56 for generating an urging force only when the plunger 38 is located at the top dead center are arranged between the plunger 38 and the shut-off valve 52.</p> |
