PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for confirming the change in the inner temperature of a refractory material lining from the outside by the color change caused by the heating of the refractory material and provide a refractory material for lining to be used in the confirmation method. SOLUTION: A refractory material colored to arbitrary color such as yellow, red, green or blue is produced by adding an organic or inorganic pigment, a colored synthetic resin, etc., to a powdery raw material composed mainly of ceramic and kneading the mixture with a liquid such as water in the presence of a binder such as cement, a phosphoric acid compound or a silicic acid compound. The refractory material is used optionally formed and used as a lining at a part contacting with a high-temperature molten material or exposed to a high-temperature atmosphere. The drying of the refractory material is carried out by heating the material while controlling the temperature-raising timing and the heating time based on the change of the surface color of the material. |
