REPAIR MATERIAL FOR SLIDE GATE PLATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repair material for a slide gate plate which has a high rate of regeneration by repair and offers a sufficient service life. SOLUTION: This repair material is composed of 10 to 30wt.% alcohol soln. of the resol type thermosetting phenolic resin produced by using a bivalent metal salt as a catalyst, 2 to 10wt.% at least one kind of the powders selected from metal aluminum powder, aluminum-magnesium alloy powder and aluminum- silicon alloy powder and 60 to 88wt.% refractory material.
