PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attempt to make printing speed much more higher by eliminating the waste in the feeding of a carriage by a method wherein the amount of the feeding of the carriage is set to have a length, by which a black-printing head is brought outside a printing region when a monochrome printing is intended in a color ink jet type recording device. SOLUTION: At a color printing mode, a carriage is moved so as to bring all printing heads 3 beyond a printing region. At a monochrome printing mode, a carriage is moved so as to bring a black-printing head 3 beyond the printing region. As a result, the unavailing movement of the carriage is eliminated at the monochrome printing mode. |
