摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-cylinder injection internal combustion engine capable of improving the knocking resistance while the combustion is realized at the theoretical air fuel ratio and at the high compression ratio. SOLUTION: In an in-cylinder injection internal combustion engine of high compression ratio of >=10 in compression ratio, the fuel is divided in the forward stage and the rear stage in the operation range relatively easy to generate the knocking in comparison with other operation ranges (the knocking generating operation range), and at least the fuel in the rear stage is directly injected in the cylinder, and the fuel supply and the supply timing of the fuel in the forward and rear stages are controlled so that the generation of the knocking is suppressed, and the fuel in the rear stage is fed after at least the fuel in the forward stage is ignited, while the fuel is fed at one time without dividing into the forward and rear stages in the operation range other than that of knocking generation.
