A device for producing music by the aid of liquid jets, said device comprising: a support on which is fixed at least one pipe-shaped component (1) which is mounted at an angle of from approximately 45 DEG to approximately 90 DEG in relation to the horizontal plane, said component (1) having a substantially circular cylindrical bore (5) which has its lower end (7) submerged below a liquid surface (6), said bore (5) having a ratio in the range of 1:2 to 1:30 between its inside diameter and its falling distance (8) which corresponds to a definite musical pitch and is the distance between the upper end (3) of the bore (5) and the liquid surface (6), said device furthermore comprising, for each pipe-shaped component (1), an adjustable liquid-jet generator (2), which is mounted at a distance from the upper end (3) of said bore (5) so as to direct a liquid jet (4) in such a way that it falls into said bore (5) at substnatially the same angle at which said component (1) is mounted and, after passing said falling distance (8), hits the liquid surface (6), said device being telescopic if comprising only one pipe-shaped component (1) and, if the device comprises several pipe-shaped components (1) combined into one or several groups, said components (1) having separately falling distances (8) or being optionally, by telescopic design, given separately varied falling distances (8). |
