FIELD: production of pigment or metallurgical titanium dioxide, metallurgy, chemical industry, paint and varnish production. SUBSTANCE: proposed method involves decomposition of titanium silicium-containing raw materials, the process is carried out by heating with the help of 70 % sulfuric acid. Thus prepared product is dissolved in aqueous medium to prepare titanium-containing solution. Then filtration and isolation of desired product by commonly used methods. Heterogenic mixture of titanium carbonitride and silicium carbide is used as mentioned above raw materials. Said decomposition is carried out with the help of sulfuric acid, its quantity being 1.35-1.55 tons per 1 ton of titanium dioxide; concentrated nitric acid is added, its quantity being 3.16-3.2 tons of nitric acid per 1 ton of titanium dioxide. Degree of isolation of titanium dioxide is about 100 %. EFFECT: improved quality of desired product, decreased waste. |
