FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed dilatator comprises anterior cone 1, flexible tie-rod 2 attached to anterior cone 1, posterior cone 3 having opening for passage of tie-rod 2, cylindrically shaped elastic element 4 interposed between anterior 1 and posterior 3 cones, tubular casing 5 having flexible distal end 6 to which posterior cone 3 is attached, handle 7 to which tubular casing 5 is attached and which has groove 8 with measuring scale 9, screw 10 with indicator 11 to which is attached flexible tie-rod 2 end, and nut 12 which is adapted to move screw 10 and which is secured on handle 7 by screw 13. Working part of dilatator is introduced through tube into body organ cavity to reach stenosed area. At this stage of procedure, original diameter of elastic element 4 is equal to diameters of anterior 1 and posterior 3 cones. Owing to flexibility of distal end 6 working part can be deflected to achieve most convenient contact with hollow organ branchings, immediately with stenosed area of organ. By turning nut 12 through screw 10 and tie-rod 2 cones 1 and 3 are brought closer to one another, thereby increasing elastic element 4 diameter as shown by indicator 11 on scale 9. Dilatation of stenosed area is effected by longitudinal movement of dilatator's working part by gradually increasing elastic element 4 diameter or, alternatively, by increasing diameter in situ, in stenosed area, working part being able to increase its diameter by more than 3 times. EFFECT: effective and painless instrument and procedure for dilatating stenosed organs. |
