The panel washing solution for color cathode ray tube is provided for washing fluorescent film which is brought about in the inner surface of panel of color cathode ray tube due to abnormal fluorescent film formation. The panel washing solution according to the invention comprises pure water, hydrogen peroxide and sodium hydroxide as a pH adjusting solution, and weight ratio of pure water, hydrogen peroxide and sodium hydroxide is preferably 120: 40: 1. The panel washing solution may prevent hazardous odor being generated and improve working efficiency.
