The fixator for, a longitudinal rod (5) to the sacrum for osteosynthesis of the spine has a plate (1) fixed to the sacrum by at least one anchor screw (4) traversing an orifice (7) formed in the plate. A connector (2) couples the end of the rod to the plate. the connector, in a mounted position, obturates, at least partially, the orifices to prevent unscrewing of the anchor screws. The connector can be attached to the plate between two anchor screw holes.
