<p>A cassette seal (9) for a swivel bearing in e.g. an agricultural or construction industry vehicle is packed with grease which is replenished or replaced via a grease nipple (7) and hole (8). The cassette is surrounded by a flexible grease seal whose lips (13,14,15,16) release excess grease by outward expansion when excessive pressure is applied by the grease gun. Supporting rings (17,18) with grease passages (19,20) may hold a single-piece seal assembly (12) in place against the cassette housing. The bearing housing may be fixed and the bearing pin may be hinged.</p> |
