<p>A seat support mechanism adapted to be automatically adjusted to adjust the position of a seated person comprises a base support member (20) adapted to be affixed to a support structure (22), such as a series of supporting legs (24) or a pedestal or the chassis of an automotive vehicle, and a seat mounting member (18) adapted to bear a seating surface. The seat mounting member (18) is movable between a pair of limit positions relative to the base support member (20), and a cycling system is provided for accommodating movement of the seat mounting member (18) from one of the limit positions to the other of the limit positions, and for returning the seat mounting member (18) from said other limit position to said one limit position upon removal of the weight of a seated person.</p> |
