<p>A method of forming a one-piece multi-coloured coin comprises feeding a blank (16) of a first metal into a support member (15) applying masks (17, 18) to the opposite faces of the blank (16) and then spray depositing a second metal (52) of a different colour through the masks onto the exposed areas of the coin blank. The multi-coloured coin is difficult to counterfeit, and does not suffer from the validation problems associated with two-piece multi-coloured coins.</p> |
