An electronic timer in the form of a wristwatch and is combined with the time indicating function of the watch. The timer alerts a person that a pre-set interval of time for observing a pre-arranged response has expired. The length of the time interval is directly set from a default mode by use of switches. The interval of time can be adjusted to within five minutes accuracy or better. An audio or non audio warning signal alerts a user of the apparatus at the expiry of the time interval or at a prescribed interval of time before the expiry of the time interval. Display means provide a user of the apparatus with a simultaneous indication of the actual time and whether or not the interval of time to be measured has expired.
