A 3 m-long belt (f) in a mechanism (d) is fixed (b) to a housing (c) secured to the pram bar (a). It allows the pram to be pushed away by hand while still held by the belt grip (g) until the belt has fully unrolled whereupon a pull on the grip allows the pram to roll back again by itself. The housing forms parts of the pram. The mechanism allows the belt to unroll in stages, e.g. 1.2 or 3 m, using a safety device to prevent the unrolling movement if necessary.
