After the backrest has moved, to adjust the seat length adjustor or to move the seat back, the backrest can only be locked again in the starting position after the seat length adjustment has been completed back into the useful seat position. In the event of a seat movement towards the back which is triggered by the folding movement of the backrest back into the starting position, the movement of the seat to the back is ended when the backrest strikes an obstacle and the backrest is folded forwards out of the starting position.
