<p>An operator's compartment or driver's cab 28 of a work machine 10 includes a pivotable access door 30 housing within it a pivotable first window portion 34 for opening movement independent of the access door, and a second window portion 36 pivotable attached to the compartment 28. Horizontally-aligned first and second latching assemblies 42, 44, are associated with the respective first and second window portions 34, 36, so that the first and second window portions can open and pivot one towards one another, the first and second latching assemblies engaging and holding the window portions together until one of the latching assemblies is released. The latching arrangement may include spring-biased levers having internal releasing portions and external notched latching portions (figure 2).</p> |
