The car has a passenger compartment (1) with two front and one rear seat. A flexible sound reducing bulkhead (7a,7b,8a,8b) is fitted into the space between the backs (2,3) of the front seats and each of the side wall inner surfaces (4,9) of the vehicle. The bulkhead extends up to the height of the seat backs and fills the space between the seat backs and the passenger compartment floor. The bulkhead changes the natural frequency of the car bodywork and distribution of noise within the vehicle. The bulkhead can also extend between the backs of the front seats.
