Error-free transmission method for time-critical digital signal with variable bit rate
摘要
The method subdivides the digital signals to be transmitted into data blocks whose total length corresponds to a multiple n of the length of a usage information field. The total length of each data block depends on the variable bit rate of the digital signals. A predetermined amount of correction matrices (90) of different size are provided at the transmitting and the receiving side for error protection of the data blocks. Each correction matrix comprises a predetermined amount of usage information lines (94) and redundancy lines (98). At least one correction matrix is selected depending on the total length of the current data block, in which the digital signals summed up in the current data block are written. Unused usage information lines (96) of each selected correction matrix are filled with null-values, and redundancy data is formed and entered in the redundancy lines of the respective correction matrix. The respective steps of selecting and forming a correction matrix are repeated for each data block.
