摘要 The method automatically initiates the printer reconfiguration to synchronize activation of various machine subsystems in response to a variation in actual photoreceptor belt speed. The actual photoreceptor belt speed is measured for one revolution. An average photoreceptor belt speed is calculated for a number of photoreceptor belt revolutions. The actual photoreceptor belt speed is compared to the average photoreceptor belt speed to determine if the actual photoreceptor belt speed is within a predetermined range relative to the average photoreceptor belt speed. A machine reconfiguration is initiated in response to the actual photoreceptor belt speed being outside the predetermined range. The machine reconfiguration involves synchronizing activation of various machine subsystems in accordance with the average photoreceptor belt speed. An appropriate number of pitches to be laid down on the photoreceptor belt are calculated. A machine cycle down is initiated in response to the actual photoreceptor belt speed being beyond the predetermined range relative to the average photoreceptor belt speed.
