Magnet for rotor position detection in brushless motor

The magnet has a number of pole sections (74a-74d) mounted axially adjacent to the rotor of the brushless motor to generate a magnetic signal for rotor position detection. A non-polarised section (74e-74h) of predefined width is arranged between each two adjacent pole sections. The number of pole sections corresp. to the number of permanent magnets in the rotor of the brushless motor. Each of the non-polarised sections is a cut-out of predefined width and depth. The rotor position detection magnet is made in one piece with a yoke to form a predefined magnetic path.
