The invention concerns aqueous powder paint dispersions based on epoxy resins, consisting of a solid powder component I and an aqueous component II. Component I is a powder paint containing the following components: A) at least one epoxy resin with an epoxy equivalent weight of 300 to 5500 Dalton; B) at least one di- and/or polycarboxylic acid as a hardener containing one or more organosilyl groups in the molecule, optionally mixed with other di- and/or polycarboxylic acids containing no organosilyl group as substituents; B) optionally catalysts, fillers, auxiliary agents and/or powder paint-specific additives such as degassing agents, flow agents, radical scavengers, antioxidants and/or UV absorbers. Component II is an aqueous dispersion containing: D) at least one non-ionic thickener and E) optionally catalysts, auxiliary agents, de-foaming agents, dispersion-promoting agents, wetting agents, dispergents, antioxidants, UV absorbers, radical scavengers, small quantities of solvents, flow agents, biocides and/or water-retention agents.
