The electrical measuring instrument transmits an acoustic, optical or mechanical signal, if the measurement values lie outside a previously selectable range. The instrument is substantially electronically designed. A converter is provided which changes physical values in to electric voltages, also an evaluation circuit. The range established, results using a numerical keyboard, a potentiometer with a scale or a PC, across a corresp. interface. One or more voltmeters can be connected, which indicate the range transmission or the starting points. The output values can be adjusted to produce variable buzzing.
