<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the S/N by accurately separating a signal and a noise and then using a contour correction function or a noise eliminating function for the result. SOLUTION: A circuit 50 is provided with a control section 58 and a ROM 59 storing lookup tables LUTs 1, 2. The control section 58 incudes an RGB code correlation discrimination device, an RGB signal level discrimination device and an OR gate. The OM 59 includes the two LUTs and a selector. The correlation discrimination device has an AND gate, a NOR gate and an OR gate and the level discrimination device has three inverters and an OR gate. Then the correlation among R, G, B channels and a level of a signal given to each channel are checked to enhance the separation performance between the signal and the noise.</p> |
