PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compensate an effect of distortion of a catheter sheath on ultra sonic wave beam on the occasion of focusing of the ultrasonic wave beam to a subjective region by using a ultrasonic probe for lumen, by focusing the ultrasonic wave beam with an aspherical means and by transferring the ultra sonic wave beam through a cylindrical case. SOLUTION: An ultrasonic wave probe 100 comprises a shaft 114 capable of being rotated by a driving means such as a motor, etc., and a converter 116 on the shaft 114 for transmitting and receiving the ultrasonic waves. The converter 116 has a flat surface driven as a piston mode, an aspherical lens 118 disposed on the flat surface, and an aspherical surface 124 of the aspherical lens 118 is formed so as to face the outer side from the axis of the shaft 114. A unit 112 is composed of the rotating shaft 114, the converter 116 and the lens 118 and the unit 112 is disposed so as to be rotatable in the inside of a cylindrical case (or sheath) 120. |
