PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect residual toner amount inside a developing device and a process cartridge, and to successively inform a user of the residual toner amount and the number of sheets to be printed hereafter. SOLUTION: This process cartridge 100 which can be attached/detached to/from an electrophotographic image forming device main body 120 is provided with an electrophotographic photoreceptor 1, a process means working on the photoreceptor 1 exposed by an optical information light source emitting light modulated in accordance with an image signal so as to form an electrostatic latent image and at least equipped with a developing means 3, a residual developer amount detecting means 9 detecting that the residual amount of developer supplied to the means 3 becomes equal to or below a prescribed value, and a storing means 60 that can be read/written for storing information on the cartridge 100 and capable of reading the stored information out of the electrophotographic image forming device main body 120 and writing the information. The information stored in the means 60 is printing amount information in accordance with at least printed amount by means of the image signal.
