摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce chipping, and perform consistent precision cutting by forming a composite multilayer graphite/diamond/resin blade. SOLUTION: A first layer of a multilayer blade is formed by impregnating a blend of diamond and resin into a first nonwoven fabric veil material having the desired circular constitution. A second veil composed of the same material is superposed on the first layer, and a diamond/resin mixture is impregnated, and at least a second layer is formed. A sandwich 10 composed of four graphite/ diamond/resin layers 12 to 15 is set between a platen press 16, and is heated and compressed, and a composite multilayer graphite/diamond/resin blade 10 which has a diameter of 2 to 5 inches (5.1 to 127mm) and a thickness of at least 5 mils (0.127mm) is formed.</p>
