PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the temps. of the whole electrode columns incl. leads and the group of electrodes from outside the storage battery concerned while its sealing performance is well maintained, by furnishing hollow projections having a bottom at the lid of the battery, and inserting a temp. sensor to this projection. SOLUTION: A sealed type storage battery concerned has a group of electrodes 2 consisting of positive electrodes and negative electrodes which are arranged alternately while separators are interposed, and this group 2 of electrodes and an electrolyte are accommodated in a battery jar 3, and the battery is sealed by a lid 4 to which the positive electrode column 7 and negative electrode column 8 connected by the electrode group 2 are fixed. Hollow projections 6 ' having a bottom is provided on the lid 4 in positions near the electrode 1 columns 7, 8, and the temp. is measured by inserting a temp. sensor to these projections 6. Thereby the whole electrode columns 7, 8 incl. leads 10 and the electrode group 2 can be measured externally while the sealing performance of the battery is well maintained. |
