PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the cryptosystem for radio communication requiring security of privacy. SOLUTION: In the radio communication system 110 requiring security of privacy, a ciphered signal is sent between a base station 112 and a radio terminal 122 of the system 110. In a forward communication path, the base station 112 includes a long code mask generator generating a rotating long code mask and an encryption device. The radio terminal 122 includes a long code mask generator creating a rotating long code mask and a decoder similarly.
