PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the filtering device which filters a large amount of digital data fast irrelevantly to filter size. SOLUTION: In a maximum and minimum and binary image enlarging and reducing process used for a digital data process, (n+1) buffers are used for filter length (n), and a process wherein (n+1) outputs are found from 2n input data sequences by performing operation 3(n-1) times is regarded as one cycle, which is repeated over the entire screen. Namely, a device which performs binomial operation up to three times for each output by effectively utilizing a halfway result of the one-cycle process, is provided. Consequently, a very fast filtering process which is irrelevant to mask size (n) can be performed. |
