<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron golf club set with which the feeling of hitting is made common by forming a face so that its area can be almost equal to that of a pitching wedge. SOLUTION: On one side of a metallic head 1, a hosel 3 is projected as a fitting part for a shaft 2 and on the front face, a face 4 is formed as a ball hitting plane. Further, on the rear face of the head 1, plural recessed parts are comparatively closely formed in zigzag state corresponding to the face 4. Moreover, at the edge part of the rear face, a annular projection 6 is formed and at the lower part of the annular projection 6, a sole 7 is formed. Concerning each iron club, the area of the face 4 is made almost equal for the clubs numbered from one to nine and the pitching wedge. Thus, the relative positions of the face and a ball at the time of a shot can be made almost equal irrespective of its number, and the same feeling of hitting can be provided.</p> |
