<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the arrival order in transmitting FC(fiber channel) frames to opposing N ports through an ATM network. SOLUTION: When FC frames from N ports having an FC interface are inputted, a switch control circuit 17 controls a switch 12 to write FC frames in FA memories in the input order, and segmentation devices 14 convert respective written FC frames to ATM cells and set virtual channel identifiers different from one another and transmit them to the ATM network side. Further, when the cells from the ATM network are inputted, ATM cells are distributed to pertinent reassembling devices 23 in accordance with detection results of virtual identifiers included in these cells and are converted to FC frames by reassembling devices and are stored in AF memories, and a switch control circuit 28 reads out FC frames stored in AF memories in the same order as the write order of the switch control circuit 17 and transmits them to N ports.</p> |
