PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an illness condition improver for digestive organs which contains an aminobenzamide derivative and has the action of controlling the enterokinetic motions. SOLUTION: This improver contains a compound of formula I[R<1> and R<2> are each a lower alkoxy; R<3> is H, a lower acyl, a lower alkyl, a lower alkoxycarbonyl; -X-SO3 M (X is a lower alkylene; M is an alkali or alkaline earth metal); R<4> is H, a halogen, a lower alkoxy, R<5> is amino, morpholino, lower alkylamino; n is 1-6] or its salt as an active ingredient. The compound of formula I is typically 3-[[[2-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl) ethyl]carbamoyl]methyl]amino-N-methyl-benzamide. It is effective for improvement of gastritis or chronic gastritis not accompanied by erosion or bleeding, digestive general malaise (gastric oppression, nausea, vomit, inappetance, abdominal full-consciousness, sour stomach, epigastralgia and belch). The does is 30-600 mg/adult/day, preferably 300mg/adult/day. |
