PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bag cover which can be reused to reduce cost of an air bag device, utilize resources effectively, and increase safety. SOLUTION: An air bag device 1 is constituted by mounting a retainer 12 fixed on a steering wheel 5 and a gas generator 2 which supplies gas to an air bag 3 and an air bag 3 on the retainer 12 and arranging a bag cover 11 which covers them in a central part of a steering wheel 5. One end of the bag cover 11 is supported for the retainer 12 in such a manner that it can turn freely, and the other end thereof is engaged with a proper section of the retainer 12 or the steering wheel 5. When the air bag 3 is inflated, the engagement is released due to inflation force of the air bag 3, and the bag cover 11 turns centered on a turn support point with the retainer 12 for expansion. |
