PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the cooling or heating effect by so forming an air duct and a fan casing as to make it possible to diffuse the air to be heat exchanged from both or one of the upper and lower parts of an air conditioner body to a body casing, and making it possible to diffuse the cold air from the upper and lower parts of the conditioner at the time of cooling. SOLUTION: At the time of heating, the air outlet 41 of a fan casing 40 is closed by a cylinder 57 by the drive of an air outlet switching means 53, an air outlet 42 is opened, and warm air is diffused from the lower vent port 50 of the lower part of an air conditioner body. On the other hand, at the time of cooling, the outlet 42 of the casing 40 is closed by the cylinder 57, and the outlet 41 is opened. Thus, cold air is diffused from the upper vent port 48 of the upper part of the body to rapidly cool in a room. Both the outlets 41, 42 are half-opened by sliding the cylinder 57 by the drive of the means 53 to quickly cool at the time of cooling, and the cold air is controlled to be diffused from both the ports 48, 50. |
