PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reversible thermal recording medium which can prevent the periodic generation of unevenness on the surface corresponding to the dot density of a thermal head even after repeated image formation and elimination by a heating body such as the thermal head, a recording medium free from the deterioration of image caused by phenomena including sticking, the generation of a flaw, and a stain on the thermal head, and an image displaying method using it. SOLUTION: In a reversible thermal recording medium composed of a thermal recording layer in which a support and an organic low molecular weight compound as a main component are dispersed in a resin matrix, and transparency changes reversibly depending on temperature, at least three projections 0.05μm or more high per surface area of 125μm×125μm and an overcoat layer having pencil hardness of 1H or more are formed on the thermal recording layer. |
