PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a covering cloth having both a liquid impermeability property and a liquid absorbing property at the same time and a good touch feeling for operation by integrally forming a multilayered film including a film of a ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and a film of a polyethylene and a spunbond nonwoven fabric. SOLUTION: This material for surgery having a liquid impermeabiltiy and without lowering liquid absorbing property with the lapse of time and also being safe and having good touch feeling is formed by integrally forming a multilayered film 2 having a thickness of 5-35μm consisting of a film of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and a film of a polyethylene and a spunbond nonwoven fabric 1 of 20-80g/m<2> by using an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer film as an adhering layer. The spunbond nonwoven fabric 1 is made of a polyamide resin e.g. nylon 6, nylon 66, nylon 12, or a monoolefinic type polymer of e.g. ethylene, ppropylene, butene, etc. The material may be of two or three layers. |
