PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of component parts use the mounting space of a base board effectively by providing a strain relief to form one connector member together with a body and furnishing a mechanism to lock the mating connector member in a single piece with the strain relief. SOLUTION: A strain relief 4 is provided to form one connector member together with a body 2, and a lock mechanism is formed from the first arm 4b having a resilient pawl 8 for locking in a single piece with the strain relief and the second arm 4c having an operational part 9 to generate coupling with the first arm 4b. When the body 2 is coupled with the mating connector member mounted on the base board, the pawl 8 is fitted in a locking groove 17 provided in the connector member 7 to lock it. This constitution manages with a smaller number of component parts than in conventional arrangement in which the locking mechanism is provided on the base board, and a connector with lock mechanism is accomplished which allows effective use of the mounting space of the base board. |
