PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric information recorder of type capable of performing desired writing or reading. SOLUTION: In a device including a barrel part of thermoplastic material, electric heating element 2 arranged in the vicinity of a surface of this barrel part, main control terminal 4 supported to this barrel part to be connected to the heating element 2 for connecting it to a current source and an electric coding device supported to this barrel part to make automatically specifying capable of a pipe joint, the electric coding device is an information recorder 6 of type capable of performing desired writing or reading. This recorder 6 preferably has a form of two-wire type EEPROM, and it is desirably connected to a main contact terminal 4 or an auxiliary terminal 5.
