A process for removing NO2 from gases or liqs., in which the gas or liq. is brought into contact, in the presence of water, with a material (I) contg. a sulphur-contg. polymer (II). Also claimed are (i) a filter material contg. (II) and water and (ii) a filter contg. (II) and water, for removing NO2 from gases and liqs.
