<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely replace a saw blade by arranging an actuating link mechanism to move a lower blade guard between a peripheral position and an unperipheral position according to a movement of a saw arm. SOLUTION: When it is necessary to replace a saw blade according to specific use, a lower blade guard is manually rotated to an unperipheral position while holding a cutting unit in a noncutting position as it is. A cam-follower 638 of an actuating link mechanism engages with an idly moving surface 650 by this rotation, and prevents a descent of a saw arm 578, on the one hand, the lower blade guard is held in the unperipheral position. When the replacement of the blade is completed, the lower blade guard is released, and is turned and returned to a peripheral position by the action of energizing force of a spring 674.</p> |
