PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance accuracy, reduce a count of processing steps and cut manufacturing costs, by forming a base plate to be a long extrusion molded part of a light metal in an extrusion method, cutting the molded part to a predetermined length and forming required holes or projections/recesses in the cut plate by press working. SOLUTION: An Al material is formed by an extrusion method to be a long extrusion molded part of a preliminarily designed cross section having frames 2 at a right and a left sides. The molded part is cut to a predetermined length thereby to obtain a semi-processed base plate 1. Then, a recessed part 4 for setting of a motor is formed in the base plate 1 by press working and, a center hole 3a and a hole 3b for taking out lead pins or lead wires of the motor are bored in the recessed part. Other necessary holes are also provided. Moreover, a hole 3c for mounting a swing arm is formed in the base plate. An end part of a spindle 5 of the magnetic disk-driving motor M is inserted and fixed in the center hole 3a of the recessed part 4 of the base plate, and the motor M is fitted to the recessed part 4 by a suitable fixing means such as a screw or the like. The lead of the motor is taken out through the hole 3b, and a spindle shaft 8 of a pivot 7 of the arm is fixedly inserted in the hole 3c thereby to mount the swing arm. |
