<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the wide unfolding timing of upper and lower parts of an air bag by folding up a part, and sewing up this folding-up part by control sewing to be ruptured by prescribed unfolding pressure of the air bag in the air bar in which stream lining cloth is arranged to vertically partition the inside of the air bag. SOLUTION: Belt-like main body cloth 1 is bent in a U shape, and almost triangular side surface cloth 2 is sewn on its left and right, and is formed in an almost recumbent quadrangular pyramid shaped, and a mouth part 3 arranged in its top part is fixed to an opening part of an air bag case. Elongation of occcupant side cloth 5 is restricted over to the occupant side cloth 5 from the vicinity of a lower side part 4 of the mouth part 3, and straightening cloth 6 is installed to vertically partition the inside of an air bag. A folding-up part 7 where a part of this straightening cloth 6 is folded up in the longitudinal direction of a vehicle, is sewn up by control sewing 8 to be ruptured by prescribed unfolding pressure of the air bag, and two large diameter inner vent holes 9 which are opened by unfolding only of this folding-up part and communicate an upper part and a lower part of the air bad with each other, are molded in the folding-up part 7.</p> |
