<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new 4-acylaminophenylacetylene alcohol compound suitable for producing a 4-acylaminophenylacetylene compound useful as a photosensitive material of a silver halide, especially a fogging inhibitor useful for a photosensitive material of a thermal development. SOLUTION: This compound is shown by formula I (R<1> is a secondary or a tertiary alkyl, a cycloalkyl or an aryl; R<2> is H or an alkyl; R<3> is an alkyl; R<4> is H or an acyl; R<1> and R<2> may be bonded to form a 5-membered or 6-membered ring) such as 1- 2-[4-(isobutyrylamino)phenyl]ethynyl}isopropyl alcohol. The compound of formula I is obtained by reacting p-bromoaniline or p- iodoaniline with an acylating agent such as a compound of the formula R<1> COCl, etc., to give a compound of formula II and reacting the compound with a compound of formula III.</p> |
