PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transmission system capable of efficiently executing access to a center even when there are a lot of terminals. SOLUTION: On a common control CH 40 inside a CATV network 30, a connection setting command is transmitted from an access terminal 10 to a center 50. The center 50 receives and analyzes this command and when there is information suited to access management 60 and the number of access terminals is within a maximum number, the response of connection setting is returned to the access terminal 10. Corresponding to connection setting, the access terminal 10 enables the data exchange of control information to/from the center 50. When there is no information suited to access management 60, on the other hand, the release request command of connection release is transmitted. |
