摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring a high voltage current flowing through a conductor. SOLUTION: A capacitor 12 and a connector are connected in series with a high voltage supply 20 such that a capacitor is charged with a current flowing through the capacitor 12 and connector. The capacitor 12 is connected in parallel with a neon lamp 16 and the voltage between the electrodes of neon lamp 16 follows up the voltage of capacitor 12. When the voltage between the electrodes of neon lamp 16 reaches the starting voltage of lamp, the neon lamp 16 is lighted and the capacitor 12 is discharged until the voltage between the electrodes of neon lamp 16 drops down to the unlighting voltage of lamp. An optical signal generated from the neon lamp 16 is captured by an optical fiber cable 40 and transmitted to a remote receiver 80 where it is processed.
